The name Rootdown was born out of two things: pride in our Mississippi roots and a deep respect for the cannabis plant itself—from the seed to the flower to the roots that ground it.
For the past five years, our team has been building a culture that reflects our guiding principles:
From the very beginning, Rootdown was founded on one central goal: increasing access to medical cannabis for Mississippians in need. To do that, we knew we had to cast a wide net, opening locations across the state to create a consistent, educational, and welcoming experience for every patient, no matter where they are.
Our mission is simple but ambitious: provide safe, legal access to plant-based relief while breaking down the barriers that have kept so many from the care they deserve. This is more than just a business—it’s a movement.
